Pastors' Conference

A picture of a Glorious Church with "Undignified Worshippers!"

In God everything is possible...became magnificent. The Annual Pastors' Conference in BC, Hilton Hotel, Richmond was a great success. With the excellent leadership of Rev. Aldrin Navo, JIL Canada Regional Pastor and the partnership of Pastor Monette Navo, the participation of the Regional Management Team and the Non-full-time pastors and their spouses and so as the staff ... indeed we are a great team! It is so good to put into remembrance, how we've started as a disciple of the Lord JESUS CHRIST and where the Lord is bringing us > > > this far. Every time we gather together, it is always a commemoration / celebration of God's faithful to each one of us. With our declaration for 2009 "Year of Overflow", we are all in expectation that we will do exploits, we will expand ... explosive growth is going to happen ... greater things are yet to come ... more of HIM! I may fall short of what to say ... we are in partnership with the SOVEREIGN GOD ... our trust is in HIM alone
Pastor Aldrin Navo, Area Supervising Pastor of Area 2 (JIL BC) speaks about the "Character of a Pastor" taken from the book of John 3:22-30. We the servants of the Most High God made a covenant to be faithful to the task and the calling of God in our lives.
Ptr. Bong Gonzales, Area Supervising Pastor of Area 3 & 6 (JIL Ontario & Quebec) speaks on "How to Minister Effectively!" We group ourselves and released a prophetic word to our fellow servants...in application of the topic.

Commissioning / Commiment Service by Pastor Aldrin Navo to the newly-appointed Pastors (Non-Full time) accross JIL Canada Churches.

Congratulations to all and with God's overflowing blessings in the Year of Overflow! A blessed Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!

~JIL MB Leadership Camp~

November 22, Saturday from 8:00 to 8:00 pm: The members of Church Management Team (CMT)and the Cell Group Leaders (pilot team) traveled 30 minutes from the city to Camp Assiniboia for a Leadership Camp with the purpose / objectives of strengthening the entire leadership and receive the fresh touch of the Holy Spirit. As we desire to follow JESUS' Leadership: Lead as He Led - taken from Matthew 20:28 "...the Son of Man, did not come to be served but to serve!" Servant Leadership coupled with Team Building will justify the quotation that says:
“Talent Win Games But...Teamwork Wins Championship.”
It was a day camp filled up with excitement and joy starting from the Praise and Worship, workshops, leadership activities, strategic planning, review of the goals and plans, fellowship...commitment prayer: God did put HIS mark upon the lives of the leaders - with HIS authentication / inspiration we are ready to face the challenges ahead of us for 2009...to expand, to explore, to extend our territories here in our city: declaring that …
JESUS IS LORD OVER OUR CITY!
Executive ability is deciding quickly and getting somebody else to do the work."
~ John G. Pollard~
"Successful people are successful because they form the habits of doing those things that failures don't like to do." ~ Albert Gray~
Want To Be A Leader?
To lead is to act. So act like the leader you want to be. "Example is leadership."
~Albert Schweitzer~
Dream Big -- Lead by Example & Inspire True Commitment.
God assured us with HIS word in Isaiah 42:8-9 "I am the Lord, that is my name; and My glory I will not give to another nor my praise to carved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and the new things I declare, before they spring forth I tell you of them.
Servants of the most High God...congratulations and lets continue to work the work of the Lord outstandingly...for HIS glory!
'till next time...God bless~

JIL MB & SK "Welcomes the Musikatha Team" as "Winnipeg Welcomes the World!"

It took me awhile to post an article of the "Musikatha Team" visit in our Area (JIL Area 4 & 5).They arrived in Wpg from Ottawa morning of November 6 with the unusual weather condition - rain, wind, snow combined. We had a tour to downtown area "The Forks", got some souvenirs went to the music store ... had fun ... enjoyed the scenery of Friendly Manitoba - city of High Spirited people. With the "Worship Breakthrough" taught by Sis. Edith Mendoza, chairperson of Music Ministry of JILC, teachings during the seminar, workshops for VIA & JAM, the Word of God released to individual person during ministering / altar call - gave so much inspiration to (JIL Wpg 1 & 2, Regina and Saskatoon). We are reaping the results of the said visit to our Worship Team - Sunday Worship Services became dynamic ... experiencing ... the supernatural move of God!
"Breakthrough to Overflow!"
...all peoples WORSHIP HIS MAJESTY...
Our utmost appreciation to our leaders of having them: Sis. Edith, Paul, Dinah, Marlon, Graham, Joanne and Karmi... in our churches ...to realign, connect to the river / style of JIL Worship as a glorious church.
The "Healing and Breakthrough" Service at Hilton Hotel was great ... people received Breakthrough from Spiritual Leprosy / healing as the message was proclaimed with the demonstration of God's power backed up with Sis. Edith Mendoza personal testimony. Indeed, our God is able ... abundantly able to perform supernatural acts on our behalf ... more than we ask or think.
Once again...maraming salamat! You are in our prayers always and hope to see you next year ... by faith!
God's blessings to all...talk to you again!

Shine for JESUS...it is because of HIM!

It has been a while....but I have a good news for everybody - the most important truth: JESUS died for our sins, was buried and was resurrected on the 3rd as the scripture says (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). We attended the Billy Graham School of Evangelism (SOE) in Vancouver, BC (Waterfront) from November 11 to 13 with JIL pastors / leaders across Canada. We appreciate the generosity of Billy Graham Association for allowing us to be part of the Annual Gathering of pastors, leaders, sponsors and their scholars around the globe. It was very refreshing to hear messages from different speakers during plenary sessions and so as at the divided seminars.
The Commitment Message was taken from Exodus 3 - about the Life of Moses: His encounter with God at the burning bush. It was very inspiring to be reminded by God's promises...when God calls us He enables us: "He who calls you is faithful, and He will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Just obey what HE says and trust HIM for who HE is!
Talk to you again...soon! God's blessings and more of HIM!

JIL Regina Ministry Updates

We have our own way on how to celebrate with an intention of pleasing God in every way: As the world has their on way of celebrating October 31, we the people of God...we made it special as well. Our brethren here in JIL Regina did enjoy as they represent JESUS outside the church at "Golden Mile Bowling Lanes" , October 31. It was a family activity with popcorn & pop while everyone has given a chance to bowl ... it was fun. We had a great time together as a church - as a family. Some of the kids put on their best outfit!
Time to review / do some planning for the remaining months of the 4th quarter of 2008. The Church Management Team Members (CMT) spent time together to have a Christ honoring activity for the holiday season. As we work as one ... as a team - something came out that made us all excited. Wow...in the coming days ...we are all in expectation that greater things are about to happen in the church, our families - to all! Our God is abundantly able to do supernatural acts on our behalf!
Majority of the members of the congregation will attend the "Musikatha Worship Seminar and Workshop" on November 7-8 and the "Healing and Breakthrough Service on the 9th at Hilton Hotel - Airport. Praise the Lord!
Talk to you all soon...

Appreciation and Ministry Updates

Please allow me to appreciate you all ... as month of October is "Appreciation Month!" To all the leaders, workers, members of JIL Area 4 & 5: Your leadership and partnership is very much valued and appreciated. Keep up the good work - greater things are yet to come as we work together in unity and in cooperation for the expansion of God's kingdom in the Year of Conquest in Manitoba & Saskatchewan, Canada.
Sacrifice
A chaplain was speaking to a soldier on a cot in a hospital. "You have lost an arm in the great cause," said the chaplain."No," said the soldier with a smile. "I didn't lose it—I gave it."In that same way, Jesus did not lose His life. He gave it purposefully. "He died that we might be forgiven and go at last to heaven."
CYN / Youth Service:
  • October 25 - JIL Winnipeg had their 1st CYN / Youth Service. The CYN MVV was reviewed and exhorted with the Message "My Best for God!" They are preparing for November service with the goal of doubling their number to forty and becoming a Church (with 50 members) by January 2009.

Sports Fest:

  • October 26 - Sports Day / WII Sports (bowling competition) with the participation of 4 groups / teams from JIL Winnipeg NW, SW, NE, SE. It was fun... with laughter ... a joyous moment for everyone. The church is the place of refuge - a place to celebrate God ... a family that plays together stays together.

We are excited while waiting for the arrival of Musikatha Team with Sis. Edtith Mendoza and Team members for Worship Seminar and Workshop on November 7 & 8 and the Healing & Breakthrough Service at Hilton Airport on November 9, with JIL SK (Saskatoon & Regina).

Once again, congratulations and a million thanks to all our pastors (JIL), leaders, workers and members of the congregation. God's mighty favor be upon you all now and always!

Celebrate God... Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Hello everyone...A blessed good morning from Friendly Manitoba! Today is another day to Celebrate God...putting into remembrance HIS faithfulness yesterday, the marvelous acts HE is doing today coz He is abundantly able to do supernatural acts tomorrow in the life of everybody.
SMILE...SHINE ON FOR JESUS!
IMPORTANCE OF A SMILE
In the window of a small store in Gellyburg, PA, was a sign with these words: “If you can’t stop in, SMLE as go by!” It takes 73 muscles to frown, 14 to smile. No wonder the grouchy people are always tired. It has been said, if you laugh everyday it is equal to 10 minutes of exercise.
talk to you soon...

ENCOUNTER RETREAT

Early in the morning of September 13, two groups of people (JIL Regina and Saskatoon) traveled to reach the venue for JIL Saskatchewan Encounter Retreat (2nd batch). Strasbourg Bible Camp - an hour drive from Regina and 2 1/2 from Saskatoon. On our way back to our respective churches, September 14, everyone has her/his own way of saying ...
T - H - A- N - K Y - O- U to the LORD!
God's faithfulness is everlasting to all of us: Encounter Speakers and the Participants. He made Himself available for everybody. Allowing us to enjoy HIS very presence and did witness HIS transforming power in the lives of the participants. It was an awesome experience / divine appointment for all us, every encounter retreat, God has HIS way on how to manifest Himself in a very special way from the 1st session to the end. We had our HI5 Service, applying the importance of Worship and Intercession together in a corporate set-up.
I salute my Encounter Ministering Team Members for a job well done. It was a joint effort of our brethren from JIL Wpg, Regina and Saskatoon. To the Encounter Speakers (Ptr. Romy Cusay, Dranreb Lucero, George dela Rosa, Rene Estabillo, Vergel Penaranda) my utmost appreciation of your partnership and support. You are an inspiration to us all!!!
Thank you very much for all the committees who made the Welcome Fellowship in the Church very successful. The testimonies of the participants made the event so special and inspiring esp. to those who haven't been in the encounter retreat and to the invited members of the family of the participants.
God wants to give you not just the good life, but the best life there is! It’s within His power to give it to you, but you’ve got to want it too. When your values are in line with God’s values and you let His priorities become your priorities, it’s a win-win situation!
Talk to you again ... next time! God's blessings to all of you!
